Mystic Sand is an interior and architectural design studio creating contemporary homes inspired by the landscapes of the American desert.
Based in Southern California, the studio considers architecture, interiors, and landscape as one cohesive experience. Each project is approached with restraint and intention, with careful attention to materials, light, proportion, and the relationship between a home and its setting.
We believe luxury is found in clarity. Natural materials, thoughtful detailing, and well-composed spaces create homes that feel calm, comfortable, and enduring.
Elyesaf’s interest in architecture and interiors began at a young age, leading him to study interior design in Tel Aviv, where he earned his degree. Later, he discovered how plants could transform the feeling of a space, shaping his interest in gardens and outdoor living.
Based in California’s High Desert, he founded Mystic Sand to bring these interests together through contemporary residential design, considering architecture, interiors, and landscape as a whole.
He leads each project and works directly with clients, from the first concepts through the refinement of layouts, materials, lighting, cabinetry, and furnishings. His approach combines formal design training with close attention to how a home feels, functions, and relates to its surroundings.
Mystic Sand considers new residences, renovations, and interior design commissions. Prospective projects are reviewed based on scope, timing, and alignment with the studio’s design approach.
We begin with a conversation about your objectives, the property, and the level of involvement your project requires.
